Water-resistant putty powder for interior walls

Putty powder is in powder form and is a surface filling material for pretreatment of the construction surface before the construction of paints. It is used for the construction of paint and latex paint respectively.

How to use putty powder

1. The base layer should be solid, clean, roughly flat, without clear water, and the strength of the base layer should be greater than or close to that of putty.

2. The base layer with strong water absorption should be wetted with water or sprayed with glue for back cover treatment before putting on putty (the consistency should be suitable for construction).

3. The newly plastered cement wall should be puttyed after the curing period.

4. Stir evenly according to the ratio of putty powder: water = 1:0.5, let it stand for 10-20 minutes and then stir evenly before use.

5. Use a steel scraper or spatula to scrape as usual. The number of times of scraping should not be too much, usually twice. The second coating can be applied only when the previous coating is completely dry.

6. The thickness of batch scraping is 0.8~1.5mm, and the dosage is 1~1.5kg/m2, which is generally survived twice.

7. After the putty is dry, sand it with 320# or 240 sandpaper, and paint or paste wallpaper as soon as possible.

Matters needing attention in the use of putty powder

1. When storing, pay attention to waterproof and moisture-proof.

2. The construction temperature is above 0°C, and the putty powder should be used within 4 to 5 hours after being made into a paste to avoid deterioration over time.

3. Putty powder cannot be used on the same construction surface as other putty, so as not to cause chemical reaction and color difference.
